While in my middle school years, I took an interest in hats. As a teen I would always find a way to make some kind of headwear to go with my outfit. Eventually my father decided to buy me my first sewing machine. That was the starting point of my ‘milliner’ career (hat designer).

My friends at school would call me the ‘Mad Hatter’ LOL! You know like the every creative character on ‘Alice and Wonderland’. I look back now and laugh at what I made. Always full of encouragement, my dad would say,” You are so good, you can even use an empty paper bag, transform it into a hat and sell it!” Ironically I made one with buttons on it, but I didn’t sell it. I guess paper bag hats weren’t trendy at that time….lol.

Today it’s totally different. We see many kinds of headwear from rugged to glam that can enhance your attire. Funs hats (DIY), basic hats, and let’s not forget the blinged-out baseball caps. There is a special feeling when one puts on a hat; it’s as though it completes the outfit. I also like to specialize in one of a kind creation. I believe when it comes to wearing a hat no one should wear your style. A uniquely styled hat, for a unique you!
